25th edition of inspiration weekly. It means quite a lot. The
amount of content send to you is pretty big and even bigger is junk I had to

feel free to pass it onto your friends, clients, enemies or strangers. Please
send me any feedback: what you would want to see in future, what annoys you,
what I have missed etc. Have a

SECONDHAND
PEPE: Following Textile Recycling in Haiti In the
1960Õs US foreign aid to Haiti trickled in in the form of used clothing and
the flow hasnÕt stopped since. Secondhand Pepe,
a documentary film by Hanna Rose Shell and Vanessa Bertozzi, follows the long
journey of discarded garments from the ragyards in Miami, to the archives in
London and onto the Pepe markets in Port-au-Prince where they are re-tailored
and re-sold to fit the styles and peoples of Haiti. Food
Map This
elegant seasonal food map on Epicurious
shows what produce can be locally found in each state for a given month. Maps
like this can make it possible to avoid the excessive shipping and stale
flavors of commercial produce. In the future a map like this could have
infinite granularity, to help people find the farms near them and the days
and weeks each year when the freshest and best food can be found. |
