stupid marketing mistakes By Adam
Broitman No, do
not worry, it is not going to be about mistakes in spreadsheets or other
useless knowledge regarding old school advertising. This article would
inspire you to think about consequences of your ideas. It will give you real
life examples and it may tell you why some of your solutions were wrong and
why nobody understands you anymore.. ÒLet's
face it, websites are dead. Did that
get your attention? A
website is simply one part of a brand's web presence. To be blunt, I am sick
of hearing about award-winning websites that cost an absurd amount of money
and yield few results. It is time digital marketers begin to think in terms
of their web presence, not their website. It is time digital marketers learn
how to create syndicated web strategies.Ó This
weekÕs special - BeautifulStranger.tv Editors
from Beautifulstranger.tv travel
around Manhattan with a video camera looking for real people who are fashion
mavens. They tape these mavens answering questions about what they are
wearing, where they get their hair cut, their favorite restaurants, hobbies,
clubs, etc. As they answer the questions, links appear to sites where you can
buy the products or services. It is
building a community that will scale rapidly and is made up of relatively big
spenders. It is using high-quality video content to attract visitors to the
site. It is promoting commerce using the product links which will soon drive
advertising revenue. Future releases of Beautiful Stranger.TV will add
user-generated content from around the world, which will drive collaboration
and clicks. Imagine being able to see the latest styles in Tokyo or Paris on
the street, as opposed to on the runway. |

Outside
of Rio de Janeiro, on a beautiful little beach with amazing blue water, sits
a little house with a flowering roof that shades and protects like a big
tropical banana leaf. Designed
by Mareines + Patalano,
the open air abode is meant to encourage interaction and connection between
man and nature. |
