Web 3.0 - let the wank begin

We hardly understood Web 2.0 (well 75% is still in darkness of just the Web) and we are offered another definition of what we are doing with web. There must be someone that is first in spotting early signs of change, on the web it became like a sport. Kids learn it through first comments later spotting first signs in games, and anywhere else. The instinct of compete. The instinct to tell others the truth about themselves and being the first to do that. So? Are we there yet? Do we need Web 3.0 and its, so far, lousy definition:
"Web 3.0 is defined as the creation of high-quality content and services produced by gifted individuals using Web 2.0 technology as an enabling platform. " via

We no longer talk about the future... we define it right now:

"Web 3.0, in my opinion is best defined as the third-decade of the Web (2009 - 2019), during which time several key technologies will become widely used. via Considering the fact that this definition was posted in 2007 we must be happy to know what to expect. Well, maybe what not to. If we have a closer look at these definitions and what is currently happeining on the web we can actually realize that we can think for ourselves.
Jason Calacanis takes his stab at Web 3.0

This week's special - Most social stuff
IN few years time or few decades we would look back at today's trends and all we would be abel to see is the social networks, which one could define as desperate act to befriend strangers over long distances using contemporary technlogy, prefferably wireless. So we make sure that ourselves in future will have enough data to analyze and to define that period of our history and culture, we post like madmen, not leaving even a tiniest empty spot on the web. have a look at some of these (URLs of course):
