How would TV look like in 5 years time?


Since years everyone is saying that TV is dying and that interactive TV is a gimmick. Well it only means that we have barely scratched the surface. Imagine SG Atlantis style touch screens as remotes or wii pilots that would allow fully interactive tv experience... it is quite possible. Adobe Flash now in its 10th generation is expanding from internet towards TV. It means that soon we would hear about RTA(Rich TV Applications).

Next step is 'intelligent' interaction with TV. We've all seen it in sci-fi movies: one enters the room, the telly turns on and says 'hello [your name], what would you want to watch today? or maybe you want a cup of tea before?'
Visual recognition with voice service will sort it out.
So all these assumptions that internet is killing TV are still not going to be true. TV can be really digital or I'd rather say interactive.
And then straight way to 3D and VR because DVD is dying
