MMORPG at the movies

That may seem like an old news but World of Warcraft is about to be turned into a movie. It's not the first time that inspiration comes from massively popular games. So far pretty unsuccessful attempts such as Mortal Combat proved it is a mass destruction rather then entertainment. Few others were more less successful. This movie have actually potential to have a story to tell. We'll see about it, no doubt there will be Lord of the Rings catch somewhere. Meanwhile games are getting closer to film industry and, as easy handy cams made it to make movies, Game Crafter makes it easy to craft your own game. Hold your horses, it is not going to be Quake engine made open source, it's just a board games you can customize with your story and keep fingers crossed till someone buys it or they got numb.
